Sweden is at the forefront in cancer care with a focus on comprehensive care solutions. Helseplan is leading a team of Swedish public organisations and private providers of technical and pharmaceutical solutions within cancer care.
“Team Sweden Cancer Care” provides unique knowledge and products to low resource countries. The team assists in the transfer of systemic understanding and training as well as treatment methods, technology, pharmaceuticals and research.
The team was formed as a result of health care delegations to Zambia, organized by Swecare Foundation and the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. The team works in close collaboration with the Zambia Ministry of Health and the Cancer Diseases Hospital, Lusaka. An important part of the collaboration is the knowledge transfer between the countries.
